Staged Reading in London: “The Weight of Silence”

Culminating my semester with the NYU Tisch Playwriting Program in London, I had the honor of directing a staged reading of my first full-length play “The Weight of Silence” at the Bush Theatre. The play follows the story of twin siblings Daphne and Danny who struggle to reckon with the disappearance of their older sister, a mystery that’s haunted them for the last five years. That is, until their sister’s remains are accidentally uncovered and the quest for justice is reignited — leading Daphne to make the ultimate sacrafice. This play serves as a commentary on the silent dangers of domestic violence and the lack of tendency to believe women within the justice system.

Thank you to the students from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art for bringing my vision to life!
