Original Jukebox Musical with Playwrights Horizons NYC
I had the honor of being involved in NYU Senior Brendan Hodge’s original jukebox musical Shy of Sure, featuring music by New Zealand band The Beths. The musical follows a teenager named Meg just trying to navigate love and loss amidst a love triangle at summer camp. This was my first production with NYU’s Playwrights Horizons studio, and I loved getting to collaborate with so many artists both in and outside of Tisch. With original choreography by Haley Jane Herman, Sarah K Chute, Soraya Omtzigt, and Brendan Hodge, I got to be a part of an electric dance ensemble (as well as a feature one-liner role as the insecure camper “Dick”!). A testament to this amazing ensemble, we sold out over half of our performances at the Leynse Studio.
