Learning Light

I made my Lighting Designer debut at Atlantic Theater’s Stage 2 for Viscera Theatre Company’s inaugural production of Lost Girl by Kimberly Belflower. This piece follows the narrative of what happened to Wendy after she grew up, and her struggle to move on from Peter Pan after he broke his promise to come back for her. Wendy must come to terms with love, loss, and coming into her own as a woman. Between reality and Neverland, I loved getting to play with the dynamics of world-shifting. With my designs, I learned so much about physical and emotional dimensions throughout the piece and played with reality vs. fantasy using technical throughlines. I absolutely loved watching this piece come alive with magic.
